Welcome. We greet everyone who has come to LDI with the love of Jesus.
LDI is where young people without a vision are given a vision that pleases God, a vision the Bible speaks of, a vision that saves lives, and a vision in which life grows, bears fruit, and reproduces.
It is said that forty-three young people in our country take their own lives every day. Why? There was a time when our people could not manage three meals a day. They went hungry, yet they carried in their hearts a small hope that they might one day live well.
Today we live far better than in those days, and yet people still choose to end their lives. What this tells us is that a person does not live on food, but on dreams, hope, and vision. The stomach is full, but the soul is hungry for hope; there is plenty to eat, but no love; life has grown comfortable, but there is no vision — and with a hollowed-out soul and an empty heart, some finally choose death. It is a grave mistake to think that feeding our children well and dressing them nicely is enough.
LDI's mission is to give such young people dreams and hope. If we plant hope and vision in them through the Word of God, they can be freed from the famine of the soul. To let them live the rest of their lives beautifully and abundantly, holding a true hope and vision — that is LDI's mission and the purpose God has given us.
“Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint; but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom's instruction.”
Proverbs 29:18 (NIV)
Another commentary renders “cast off restraint” as choosing the very things that lead to ruin — that is, a people without vision perishes. Follow a vision, on the other hand, and lives can be saved, and this nation and the nations can be raised up.
When young people come to have a vision,
- 01Young people who did not know which way to go find their path and their passion.
- 02They come out of frustration and emptiness and move forward carrying a banner of hope.
- 03Though society is torn by division and confusion, they look to that vision, dream of a bright future, and move forward with one heart and one mind.
This vision, then, is indispensable to the individual, the family, the nation, and the nations.
“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain.”
Hebrews 6:19 (NIV)
Hope, it says, is an anchor for the soul — an anchor that does not drift even in a hard world. That is what vision is. Whoever holds such a vision can press on toward it boldly, today as well.
We urgently need leaders who can hold out such a vision — leaders who can give vision to our people, to university students, to young people.
Will you not be that person — one who holds such a vision, a leader who can hold it out to others, a servant of the Lord? We welcome you, and we want to walk that road with you. Let us press on together toward the goal Christ has set. Trusting the word of God's promise, and with the one chance this life gives us, let us go together toward that goal, that vision.
We bless and love each one of you who has visited the LDI website in the name of Jesus, and we give all thanks and glory to the Lord.
