The Great Commission
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19–20)
After dying for our sins, rising again and ascending to heaven, Jesus left his disciples the Great Commission as his parting charge: make disciples of all nations.
He gave us the task of carrying the gospel to everyone who has not yet heard it, at home and abroad — the Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim and communist worlds, and unreached peoples — and of making them disciples, teaching them until they keep everything he entrusted to us.
