WHAT WE DO

  • 14 weeks of small-group discussion and practice at home
  • Setting a sound standard for raising children — discipline and training as a system
  • Learning real love, the languages of love, and emotion coaching
  • Practicing encouragement rather than praise
  • Reading the required and recommended books (A leader is a good reader!)

Raising leadership in parents and children

How can we raise our children to be leaders? How good it would be if our own household grew into one that sends leaders out.

The LDI children’s leadership school is a small-group parent school built to help our children grow into leaders. Keep discussing and practicing for 14 weeks each spring and fall term, and your perspective changes, and your attitude changes with it.

When parents change, children receive real love in abundance, and through a sound standard and a system of discipline and training they grow into leaders who gladly use their influence for good. That is our dream and our vision.

We invite everyone who wants to set a sound standard for raising children, serve them in love, and become a parent whose leadership fills the deep needs of society as salt and light, to the great glory of God.

One family’s story — “I made room for my husband, and our home was restored”

This account of 최은희 (42, Union Church) appeared in a Kukmin Ilbo article by reporter 최영경. She opened her talk by saying, “I thought I was the one doing well. I was doing better than my husband.”

She ran her own business and held the reins of the household finances, and when her child began to struggle emotionally, someone pointed her to LDI. Dr. Hye-Won Park urged her to set the child’s problem aside and look at herself first. “The first term of the foundation track restored my own self-worth, and the second term restored my husband’s. Once mom and dad were standing straight, our child stood straight too.”

She made room for her husband, God’s order in the home was restored, and the child changed of his own accord. “When you change, your child changes, and your child’s energy changes the whole household,” she said. “And a changed household becomes the energy that changes schools, society, the nation and the world.” Dr. Park added, “The frame of the whole leadership course is the Word of God — helping people know what real love is and put it into practice.”
